Welcome to Our Place Music

This pilot platform is a specialised semantic infrastructure for music archives and digital repositories. Developed by AltSol and powered by the open-source platform ReasonableGraph, this demo showcases advanced knowledge management solutions for the music library, archiving, and research community.

Connecting Data — Elevating Research

Our platform transforms traditional, isolated databases into dynamic networks of interconnected knowledge, perfectly adapted to the complex needs of music cataloguing and long-term heritage preservation.

Key Structural Features

  • One Infrastructure — Multiple Dataspaces. Every library, research group, or institution can maintain its own dedicated digital repository. You can document, organise, search, and showcase your music collections autonomously, defining your own data isolation or sharing policies.
  • Complex Music Ontologies. The platform models data as a graph — an expressive, multi-layered mapping of relationships between musical works, expressions, manifestations, items, creators, performers, and historical events.
  • Fully Customizable Environments. Design custom cataloguing forms and metadata workflows with complete control. Institutions can easily build distinct microsites while retaining full data ownership and responsibility.
